What we are aiming for
This site targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Most of it clears AAA on colour contrast, because the audience skews older and reads on a phone.
What is built in
- Contrast. Body text runs at 19:1 against the page background. No text on the site sits below the AA threshold, and the light grey used for page numbers in our graphics is never used for text here.
- Text size. Body copy never drops below 17px on mobile or 16px anywhere. Nothing on the site is below 15px, and 15px is reserved for a single legal line. Text resizes with your browser settings without breaking the layout.
- Keyboard. Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard, in a logical order, with a visible focus ring. A skip link jumps straight to the enquiry form.
- Structure. Semantic HTML throughout. One H1 per page, headings in order without skipped levels, real links rather than JavaScript click handlers, and landmarks so a screen reader can navigate by region.
- Forms. Every field has a visible label tied to it. Errors are announced, described in plain language, and moved to rather than only coloured red. Nothing depends on colour alone.
- Motion. Everything respects
prefers-reduced-motion. With that setting on, animations resolve to their finished state rather than being removed, so no content is ever hidden. The scrolling reviews stop. - Images. Meaningful images carry alt text. Decorative ones are hidden from assistive technology rather than described pointlessly.
- Zoom. The layout works to 200% zoom without horizontal scrolling.
- No traps. No auto-playing audio or video, no carousels that advance past you, no popups you cannot close with the Escape key, no time limits.
What we know is not perfect
Being honest is more useful than claiming full compliance:
- Country flags in the offices section are emoji. They render differently across operating systems and on Windows some show as letter pairs. They are marked as decorative and the country name is written next to each one in text, so no information depends on the flag.
- Client testimonial videos will need captions and transcripts. Those are being prepared and the videos will not be published without them.
- This site has not yet been audited by an independent accessibility specialist. The claims above come from our own testing.
How it is tested
Automated contrast, heading order, landmark and label checks run on every page as part of the build, and the build fails if any of them fail. That catches the mechanical problems. It does not catch everything, which is why the next section matters.
Tell us if you hit a barrier
If any part of this site is hard or impossible for you to use, email hello@mavixmarketing.com and say what happened and what you were using. We aim to reply within two business days and to fix genuine barriers rather than explain them.
If you would rather not use the website at all, every office phone number is on the contact page and we are happy to take the whole thing by phone or email.
