An SEO agency for owners who want to see what the work changed

Ask any SEO agency for last month's report and count the lines about enquiries. At most of the accounts that arrive here the answer is none, and the owner can recite the traffic number but not how many customers organic search produced. This page is built around the question that actually gets asked on a first call, which is how you would know whether it is working.

What we report on

  • Enquiries from organic, and cost per enquiry
  • Non-branded organic clicks, reported separately from branded
  • Impressions and average position for the mapped commercial terms
  • Pages indexed against pages you expect to be indexed
  • Assisted conversions, so organic is not judged only on last click
  • Revenue attributed where your CRM can support the claim

Certified across the platforms we buy on. 150+ businesses, 7 years.

Fit

Who this is for, and who it is not.

Worth reading before the rest of the page. If the right-hand column describes you, the honest answer is that this is not the service to buy.

This is for you if

  • Businesses where somebody is already searching for what you sell, and finding a competitor instead.
  • Companies with a real product and a sales process that works when the phone rings, but not enough calls to feed it.
  • Owners who have been burned once and want to be able to check the work rather than trust it.
  • Anyone whose current reports open with impressions and who has never been shown a cost per enquiry.

This is not for you if

  • Anyone who needs revenue this month. Paid search is the honest answer to that, and it gets said on the first call.
  • Businesses with no demand to capture, where nobody is searching for the category yet. Search cannot create demand.
  • Anyone who wants a guaranteed position one ranking. Nobody controls that, and the promise is a warning sign.

If you are on the right-hand side, say so in the form anyway. We will tell you what we would do in your position, which costs you nothing and costs us fifteen minutes.

What this actually fixes.

The number in the report is not the number in the bank

Traffic went up and revenue did not. The traffic arriving has no buying intent behind it, or the conversion actions being counted are page views rather than enquiries. Both are measurable in an afternoon, and neither gets checked.

Ranking for your own name and calling it a result

Brand searches were always going to find you. Stripping them out of a report usually removes most of the growth curve, which is why almost nobody does it. Branded and non-branded are reported separately here from month one.

Pages built for a keyword rather than for a buyer

A page that ranks and does not convert is a cost. The gap between arriving and enquiring is where most organic revenue is lost, and it is a page problem rather than a rankings problem.

Technical debt nobody wants to bill for

Indexation, canonicals, internal links and page speed are unglamorous, hard to sell and decide whether any of the content work compounds. They get skipped because they do not photograph well in a report.

The question every SEO report should answer first

My Favorite Therapists, a paediatric therapy practice in Deerfield Beach, started with about ten referring domains, almost no keyword visibility, and no page for any of the four services it offered. Three months later Search Console showed 99.6K impressions and 1.72K clicks, 26 keywords in the top ten, and organic sitting beside direct as a top source of visits. Paid had become the supporting channel rather than the whole channel.

None of those numbers is the one that matters. The one that matters is how many parents called, and that is the number this agency puts at the top of the report. Everything else on the page is there to explain how it gets produced.

Why the report and the bank disagree

Three things happen, and none of them is a lie.

Impressions move first and mean least. Google tests a site for a wider set of queries as it earns trust, and impressions rise whether or not those queries have a budget behind them. A chart of impressions going up is a chart of Google being curious.

Brand searches were always coming. Somebody who types your company name has already decided to find you. Reporting those clicks as growth is reporting your existing customers as new ones. Split them out and the growth curve usually flattens, which is why the split so rarely gets made.

Conversions are whatever somebody set them to. In more than one account that has arrived here, a conversion action had been counting page views since the day it was created. Every optimisation for years had been aimed at a number that meant nothing.

So the first month here is spent on the plumbing: what counts as an enquiry, whether the tracking records it, and what the honest starting number is. You get a copy before anything else is touched.

The report you should be getting

Two pages, sent monthly. This is the format used here, and it is the format to ask any agency for.

Enquiries from organic search, and what each one cost.

Non-branded clicks, with branded reported on a separate line.

Impressions and average position for the commercial terms that were mapped in month one, not for every term the site happens to appear for.

Pages indexed against pages that should be indexed.

What changed this month, as a list, so the work can be checked against the invoice.

If a report cannot be produced in that shape, the tracking is not set up to produce it, and that is the first thing to fix.

Where this is the wrong agency

Search captures demand that already exists. If nobody is typing your category into Google yet, no SEO agency can produce a buyer, and the honest advice is paid social or a longer content game that teaches the category first.

Search is also slow. Technical fixes can show inside weeks. Competitive commercial rankings take months, and if the business needs revenue this month, paid search is the answer and it gets said on the first call rather than after a retainer.

And the guarantee only works because some accounts get declined. An account that cannot be moved costs this agency money rather than earning it less. That is why the fit section on this page says who it is not for, and why it is worth reading before the form.

The report opens with enquiries or it is hiding something. That is the whole standard.

Exactly what gets done.

Not a list of capabilities. This is the work that happens on your site and in Search Console, and the monthly report can be held against every line of it.

01

Measurement first, before anything is optimised

Search Console and GA4 verified, conversion actions rebuilt so they fire on real enquiries, branded and non-branded split, and a baseline recorded in week one that you get a copy of. Optimising an account whose conversion data is wrong makes it wrong faster.

02

Technical health

Crawl and indexation audit, canonical conflicts, internal link structure, redirect chains, Core Web Vitals, and the render path. Fixed in priority order by what is actually blocking pages from earning.

03

Keyword and page mapping

Every target keyword assigned to exactly one page, sorted by what a customer is worth rather than by volume. This is also where cannibalisation gets found, which is usually the reason two pages both rank badly for the same thing. At All Dogs Rock one keyword per page was the fix that stopped the daycare, boarding and training pages competing with each other.

04

Money pages built to convert

The pages that carry buying intent get rewritten around the decision the reader is making: who it is for, what it costs, what happens next, and what the risk is. Conversion work is included rather than sold separately.

05

Supporting content that earns links and answers questions

Guides, comparisons and problem pages that answer what people search before they are ready to buy, linked into the money pages deliberately rather than left in a blog silo. At My Favorite Therapists six posts written for parents over three months did this work.

06

Authority building

Digital PR, original data and genuine placements. No link buying, no private blog networks, and no volume targets that push toward either.

07

Reporting that opens with enquiries

Two pages. Enquiries, cost per enquiry, non-branded clicks, and what changed. Everything else is available if you want it and is never the headline.

How long it takes

What happens, and when.

Nobody can tell you in advance what your account will do. What can be said in advance is what will have happened by when.

  1. 01
    Week 1

    Baseline and access

Access granted, tracking verified and rebuilt where it is wrong, baseline recorded and sent to you. Nothing gets deleted or redirected before it has been measured, because a page that looks old sometimes carries the links holding the site up.

  2. 02
    Month 1

    Foundation

Technical blockers cleared, keyword-to-page mapping agreed, cannibalisation resolved, and the first money page rebuilt. You will not see a ranking change worth reporting this month, and the report will say so.

  3. 03
    Month 2

    Money pages and internal links

The commercial pages are rebuilt and linked properly. Early non-branded movement usually shows here on long-tail terms. If you run paid search, the same landing page improvements go there at no extra cost.

  4. 04
    Month 3

    Content and authority

Supporting content published against the questions buyers actually ask, and authority work begins. This is the point at which the guarantee is measured, against the baseline recorded in week one.

  5. 05
    Month 4 and beyond

    Compounding

Monthly: publish, improve what is close to ranking, fix what regressed, and report. Search compounds, so the fourth month is worth more than the first three combined if the first three were done properly.

Outcomes, not activities.

Rankings are an activity. These are the things that should change in the business as a result, and each one has a number in Search Console or analytics that either moved or did not.

  • More enquiries from people who were already looking to buy, at a cost per enquiry you can put beside your paid number.
  • A measurement setup where the report matches your CRM, so the reporting can be trusted by the person who signs the invoice.
  • More visits from people who searched for what you sell without knowing your name. That is the only part of a traffic chart that is new demand.
  • Less dependence on a paid channel that a policy review or a competitor with a bigger budget can switch off.

Three things you can hold us to.

The risk sits on this side

A financial penalty attached to a written target changes which accounts get taken on. An account that cannot be moved costs money rather than earning less, so saying no happens more often than you would expect.

You own everything

Your Search Console, analytics, content and tracking stay in your name throughout, including if you leave next month. Ask this everywhere you are considering, because the answer is not always yes.

Conversion work is included

Ranking a page that does not convert is a cost dressed as a result. The conversion work on the pages traffic lands on is part of the engagement, not a fourth product.

What drives the number.

What it costs depends almost entirely on the state of what you already have. An account with clean tracking and a technically healthy site needs a fraction of the work of one that has to be rebuilt before anything can be measured. The free review says which of those you are before either side commits.

Included

  • Measurement rebuild and baseline
  • Technical fixes, implemented rather than listed
  • Keyword mapping and content production
  • Conversion work on the pages traffic lands on
  • Monthly reporting and a review call with the founder

Not included

  • Paid media budget, which goes to the platform and never through us
  • A website rebuild, where the honest answer is a developer rather than an agency
  • Link buying, at any price
See how pricing works

What happens if it underperforms

If the target set in writing at the start is missed, you get every retainer fee back plus $1,000. The conditions: the baseline is measured in your own Search Console and GA4 in week one and you get a copy, the 90 days run from the day access is granted, recommended changes are implemented or we are given access to implement them, and your tracking works. All of it is agreed before you pay anything.

I have been in business long enough to know that every agency has a presentation about why they are different. That part doesn't interest me. What mattered to us was whether they understood our market and whether they would actually do the work after the meeting was over. So far, they've been practical, responsive and consistent. We discuss priorities, the team works on them, and we review what was done. I prefer that kind of relationship.

I am probably not the easiest person to build a landing page for because I change my mind constantly. First I wanted it minimal. Then more colour. Then less colour. Then I hated the headline. Then I wanted the old headline back. 😂 What I liked was that the team didn't get irritated or disappear every time I asked for another round of changes. We kept working through it until it finally felt like us.

Questions

Questions people actually ask.

01 How long before I see anything from an SEO agency?
Long-tail movement often shows in month two. Commercial terms take longer, usually three to six months depending on the category and the state of the site. At La Vela Coffee the measured window was six months against the previous six, and organic clicks went from 1.16K to 2.85K in it. Anyone promising faster is either selling paid traffic under another name or planning to show you brand searches in month two.
02 What does an SEO agency actually do all month?
In the first month, mostly measurement and technical work you cannot see. After that: pages rebuilt or published, internal links restructured, technical regressions fixed, and authority work. The monthly report lists what changed, so the question is answerable from the document rather than from trust.
03 How much does an SEO agency cost?
It depends on what you already have. The pricing page sets out the six things that decide the number and what is in and out of scope. You get a real figure in writing after the free review, attached to a scope you can read, before you commit to anything.
04 Is SEO worth it for a small business?
It is worth it when people are already searching for what you sell and finding somebody else. It is not worth it when nobody searches for the category, when you need revenue this month, or when the site cannot convert the traffic it already gets. The free review says which of those you are.
05 Do you buy links?
No, at any price, and not for anyone who asks. Google names bought links in its spam policies, the risk sits with your domain rather than ours, and the accounts cleaned up after somebody else bought links cost more to fix than the links ever cost to buy.
06 What if it does not work?
You get every fee back plus $1,000, on the conditions set out above. That is a harder promise to make than a ranking guarantee and a more useful one to receive.
