Custom website audit

Give us your website. We will tell you what is costing you enquiries.

Leave the address and an email below, and a person will read the site and write back with what to fix first. Crawling and speed tools do the technical checks; a person decides what matters and writes it up. Free, and yours to keep.

  • What it is

A written audit of your website, prepared by a person after reading the site, not a score generated by a script.

  • What it tells you

What is costing you enquiries, across search basics, technical issues, content, calls to action and the mobile experience, and what to fix first.

  • What you need

Your website address, your name and an email to send it to. A phone number if you would rather talk it through.

  • What happens next

A person replies, usually within one working day, with the written audit. It is yours to keep whether you hire us or not.

What the audit covers

Six things a person checks that a script cannot judge.

Search basics on the page

Titles, descriptions, headings, canonical tags and whether the pages that matter can be indexed at all.

Technical issues visible from outside

Redirect chains, broken links, slow or heavy pages, missing structured data, and anything that stops a crawler reading the site.

Content and what it is written for

Whether the service pages answer the searches people make, and where the copy describes you rather than helps the buyer.

Calls to action and the enquiry path

Where somebody is asked to get in touch, how hard the form is, and where visitors are lost between landing and asking.

The mobile experience

How the site reads and works on a phone, where most of your visitors are, including tap targets and anything that overflows.

Conversion opportunities

The two or three changes that would move enquiries first, in order, with the reason for each.

How it works, in three steps.

01

Send the address and an email

The form below. Thirty seconds. No account, no card, no call booked.

02

A person reads the site

Not a script. Somebody goes through the pages a buyer would, on desktop and on a phone, and notes what is getting in the way.

03

You get the written audit

What is wrong, why it matters, and what to fix first. Usually within one working day, and yours to keep either way.

Real accounts

What fixing the site produced on real accounts.

Two businesses whose audits turned into rebuilt pages. The figures are read off Search Console and GA4.

Search Console comparing six months against the previous six: clicks 2.85K against 1.16K, impressions 196K against 114K, average position 19 against 26.5

Questions

What people ask before they send the address.

01 What is the website audit tool?
A way to request a written audit of your website from a person at Mavix. You give your website address and an email address, and someone here reads the site and writes up what they find. There is no automated check and no score generated by software. What comes back is a written review, prepared by hand, covering the things that are costing you enquiries.
02 What does the audit cover?
The on-page SEO basics such as titles, descriptions, headings and how pages are set up to be found. Technical issues that are visible from the site itself. The content and whether it answers what a visitor came for. The calls to action and whether they are clear. The mobile experience. And the conversion opportunities, meaning the places where a visitor is likely to leave instead of getting in touch.
03 What do I need to provide?
Your website address and an email address to send the audit to. That is all. If there is a page you are especially worried about, or a goal the site is failing to meet, say so and the audit will start there. You do not need to give access to any account or install anything on the site.
04 What do I receive back?
A written review of your site, sent to the email address you gave. It describes what was found, why it matters and what to change first. It is written in plain language for the person who owns the site rather than for a developer. It is yours to keep whether or not you ever work with us.
05 Who prepares the audit?
A person at Mavix who works on SEO and websites. Nothing about it is automated. The site is read by someone, the notes are written by someone, and the reply comes from someone you can write back to with questions. If a point in the audit is unclear, ask and you will get an answer from the person who wrote it.
06 How long does the audit take?
Usually within one working day. If the site is large or the request arrives over a weekend it may take a little longer, and you will hear from a person either way. Nothing is sent by a machine, so the reply arrives when the audit has been written rather than at a fixed moment.
07 Is this the same as the free review on the contact page?
It is closely related. Both are free, written by a person and yours to keep. The website audit looks at the site itself. The free review on the contact page can also cover your search and ads accounts if you want them included. If you only want the site looked at, this form is the quicker route. If you want the accounts covered too, say so.
08 What happens after I send the request?
A person reads your site and writes the audit. It arrives by email, usually within one working day. After that, the next step is yours. You can act on it yourself, ask questions by replying, or ask for a conversation about doing the work together. There is no automated follow up sequence and no obligation.
09 What happens to my website address and email?
They are used to prepare the audit and to send it to you, and so you can reply with questions. Using this form is the only thing on the page that creates a record. How that information is handled is set out in the privacy policy linked in the footer. It applies to this form in the same way as every other form on the site.
10 Does the audit cost anything?
No. The audit is free and there is no obligation to buy anything afterwards. If the audit finds work that is worth doing and you would like help with it, the SEO, ads and email services exist for that. If you would rather do it yourself, the audit is written so that you can.
11 Which website address should I give?
Your homepage is fine, and the audit will look across the site from there. If a particular page matters more, such as a service page that gets traffic but no enquiries, give that address instead or mention it. Service pages are often where the problems are, and it is worth naming the one you want checked.
12 Why is this manual rather than automated?
Because an automated check can only read the code and score what it can see. It cannot tell whether your copy answers the search, whether the call to action is convincing, or why visitors leave on mobile. Those are the things that cost enquiries. A person can read the page the way a customer would, and that is the review worth having.
