Which are the best law firm marketing agencies in 2026? Nine compared on what you can check
Nine US law firm marketing agencies compared on facts you can check: location, founding year, published prices and contract terms. Mavix is one of the nine.
No list can tell you which law firm marketing agency is the best one for your firm, and this page does not try. It puts nine US agencies side by side on facts you can check yourself. Those facts are where each is based, when it started, what it sells to law firms, whether it publishes prices, and what it says about contracts.
We wrote this page and we are one of the agencies on it, so read our entry knowing that. The order is alphabetical. Nothing here ranks one agency above another. Every fact links to the page it came from, and each page was opened on 3 October 2026.
The short version
- Nine US agencies that publicly sell marketing to law firms are listed here in alphabetical order, with no ranking and no scores.
- Eight of the nine published no price list for law firm marketing on the pages we opened on 3 October 2026. Mavix, the ninth, lists starting prices on its pricing pages.
- Stated contract terms differ. Hennessey Digital and Rankings.io say month to month, and Juris Digital asks firms to commit to a 12-month campaign.
- Where an agency’s site did not state a fact, the table says “not stated”. That means we did not find it, and the agency can still tell you.
- Mavix Marketing wrote this page and is one of the nine entries. Mavix publishes starting prices on its pricing pages and quotes after a free review.
- Lawyer advertising is covered by professional conduct rules, so ask each agency how it works within your state’s rules.
How were these agencies chosen, and what was checked?
We searched for US agencies that publicly offer marketing to law firms, then opened each agency’s own website. We kept an agency only if its site opened and showed that it sells marketing to law firms. Seven of the nine present themselves as legal marketing firms. Scorpion and Mavix are general agencies that also serve law firms.
For each one we recorded the same items: headquarters, founding year, services for law firms, published prices and contract terms. We also noted what each site says about ownership and market limits. Where the agency’s site did not state the city or year, we opened its Clutch profile and say so.
Some things could not be checked. We did not test any agency’s work, speak to its clients, or see a contract. We did not compare review scores, because each platform counts reviews in its own way.
No agency paid to be here, and none was asked or told. Terms change, so confirm every fact with the agency.

What rules apply to law firm advertising?
Lawyer advertising is covered by professional conduct rules. The American Bar Association’s Model Rule 7.1 says a lawyer “shall not make a false or misleading communication about the lawyer or the lawyer’s services”. The text is in the ABA’s August 2018 resolution, hosted by The Florida Bar (ABA Resolution 101).
The same document sets out Model Rule 7.2. It lets a lawyer communicate about services through any media. It also says such a communication must include the name and contact information of at least one lawyer or law firm responsible for its content.
These are model rules. Your state’s own rules are the ones that apply to you, so check them with your state bar. This is not legal advice. Ask each agency who reviews ad copy and web pages against your state’s rules before they go live. The ABA’s own website would not open for us, which is why the link goes to the copy hosted by The Florida Bar.

How to choose between them
Start with the cases you want more of. A personal injury firm in a large city has a different shortlist from a solo estate planning practice. Then put the same questions to each agency and write the answers down.
- What does it cost each month, what is the setup fee, and what is the minimum term?
- Who owns the website, the domain, the ad accounts and the Google Business Profile if we part ways?
- Do you work with another firm in our practice area in our city?
- Who checks our ads and pages against our state’s advertising rules?
- How will you count a signed case, and how do you track phone calls and intake?
- Can we see a real monthly report from a law firm client, with the name removed?
Our 20 questions to ask an agency go further, and you should use them on us too. Google also suggests asking any SEO about their experience in your industry and what results they expect (Google Search Central).
For cost context, see what a digital marketing agency costs and how much SEO costs. If you are weighing an agency against a hire, read agency, freelancer or in-house. Our own pages describe SEO for law firms, Google Ads for law firms and local SEO for law firms.
The bottom line
A list cannot pick an agency for you. What it can do is show which facts each agency puts in public and which ones you have to ask for. Shortlist two or three, ask each the same questions, and compare the written answers. Choose on what you can verify.
Questions people ask about this
Which law firm marketing agency is the best?
There is no single answer, and this page does not rank the nine. The right fit depends on your practice area, your city and your budget. Use the table to shortlist, then compare written answers.
How much does a law firm marketing agency cost?
Mavix publishes starting prices on its pricing pages. The other eight published no price list on the pages we opened on 3 October 2026. Juris Digital says it builds a custom plan around your budget. Ask each agency for a written quote with the scope attached.
Do law firm marketing agencies require long contracts?
It varies. Hennessey Digital and Rankings.io say month to month. iLawyerMarketing says it does not require long-term contracts. Juris Digital asks for a 12-month commitment. The other sites did not state terms on the pages we opened.
Is Mavix Marketing a legal-only agency?
No. Mavix is a general agency with three services, SEO, paid ads and email, and a page for law firms. Seven of the nine agencies on this page present themselves as legal marketing firms.
Why is Mavix on its own comparison page?
Because leaving ourselves out would hide who wrote it. We wrote this page and we are one of the agencies on it. Our entry uses the same fields as the others and sits where the alphabet puts it.
Did any agency pay to be listed?
No. No agency paid, and none was asked or told about this page. We listed agencies whose own websites opened for us and showed that they serve law firms.
Will an agency work with a competing firm in my city?
Ask each one. iLawyerMarketing says it limits the number of firms it works with in any market. The Rankings.io about page describes named competitor exclusions at its top tier. The other sites did not state a policy on the pages we opened.
