Pricing for SEO

SEO pricing that follows the work, not a rate card.

Three sizes of engagement. The middle one carries the guarantee and is where most accounts belong. Each one shows where its price starts. Yours is quoted after a free review of your site, attached to a scope you can read.

The SEO offer

A 50% increase in 90 days, or you get a refund plus $1,000.

A 50% increase in organic traffic, keyword rankings or direct enquiries within 90 days of the engagement starting. Miss it and you get a full refund of every retainer fee you have paid, plus $1,000 out of our own pocket.

  • The baseline is measured in your own Google Search Console and GA4 in week one, and you get a copy of it before any work starts.
  • The 90 days run from the day access is granted, not the day the contract is signed.
  • Recommended changes are implemented, or we are given the access to implement them ourselves.
  • Applies to search engagements. Paid ads carry their own offer instead: 50 qualified leads in a month, or the next month is free, against criteria agreed in writing before launch.
  • Tracking must be functional. If your analytics cannot measure the baseline, we fix that first and the clock starts after.

Applies to the Growth and Scale sizes. Written into the contract before you pay.

BandMonthly priceWhere the figure comes from
Low $499 to $575 Profile-only local work: Whitespark at $499, WebFX local SEO from $575
Typical $1,000 to $2,500 Backlinko survey of 300+ SEO professionals. BrightLocal managed local SEO is $1,299
High $2,800 to $9,200 WebFX published plans, with $8,600 to $21,400 due for the first two months. The Ahrefs agency average is $3,209
Mavix From $1,000 a month, no setup fee A monthly fee against a written target. No percentage of anything.

Growth is more than local SEO: it adds new pages, earned links, conversion work and email follow-up, which is why it starts above the local range.

What you get

Three sizes. Most accounts belong in the middle.

Each size shows where its price starts. The review decides which one fits, and your price is quoted against it in writing.

One market, the basics done properly

Foundation

From $1,000 a month

A single-location business that is invisible for what it sells and needs the groundwork before anything else.

  • Technical audit and the fixes that stop pages ranking
  • Google Business Profile rebuilt and managed
  • A page for each service, written in the words buyers use
  • Citations and reviews put on a schedule
  • Monthly report with branded search split out
For Foundation, after the free review.

Multiple locations, a catalogue, or a national market

Scale

From $5,000 a month

Multi-location businesses, online stores and companies competing on national terms, where the volume of pages and the technical surface are much larger.

  • Everything in Growth
  • Location or category architecture built and maintained
  • Content production sized to the catalogue or the markets
  • Digital PR and original data for links that move authority
  • Quarterly strategy review against commercial targets
  • Priority implementation
For Scale, after the free review.

In every size

  • The free review and a written baseline before you commit to anything
  • Tracking set up and verified, so a form fill or a call is counted as a lead
  • A dedicated account manager and the founder on every monthly review
  • A monthly report that opens with enquiries, not impressions
  • You own every account, every page and every file, including the day you leave
  • Month to month, with thirty days notice

What you are paying for, and what you are not.

Naming what is not included is what makes the inclusions believable.

In the fee

  • The free review and the written baseline before you commit
  • Research, planning and the keyword map
  • Technical fixes, implemented where you give access
  • Pages written by people, with your specialists interviewed where a page needs real expertise
  • Links earned from real sites, never bought
  • Tracking set up, verified and maintained
  • A dedicated account manager and the founder on every monthly review

Billed separately, or not sold

  • Website rebuilds. Pages and flows get fixed; a full rebuild is a separate job
  • Paid link placements. Links are never bought, so there is nothing to bill
  • Third-party software licences, where a specific tool is genuinely needed
  • Ad spend, which belongs to the paid ads service

Four things decide what your account costs.

From a real account 470K organic clicks in 12 months 21.3M impressions at an average position of 8.8.
01

What state the site is in

A site with clean tracking, healthy indexing and an existing base of pages needs a fraction of the work of one that has to be repaired before anything can rank. The first month of a broken site is repair, and it is priced as repair.

02

How competitive the searches are

A specialist B2B term with four serious competitors is a different job from a home service in a major metro against national franchises. Same work, different volume of it.

03

How much content has to be produced

Written by people and researched properly, with your specialists interviewed where a page needs real expertise. Content volume is usually the largest single difference between two otherwise similar engagements.

04

Whether we implement or you do

If your developer can action a written specification, the engagement is smaller. If the changes are made here, directly on the site, it is larger and it moves faster.

After you say yes

The first 30 days, in four steps.

What happens between the free review and your first monthly report, whether you are moving from another agency, an in-house team, or doing it yourself.

  1. 1 Before you pay

    The free review

A person reads the site and, where you give access, Search Console and analytics. You get a written baseline, the findings in order, and a scoped price.

  2. 2 Days 1 to 7

    Access and the baseline

Read access to Search Console and GA4, the current numbers recorded in your own accounts, and a copy sent to you. The 90 days start here.

  3. 3 Days 8 to 21

    Tracking and the blockers

Tracking checked and fixed so enquiries are counted, technical blockers cleared, the keyword map assigned to pages. Every change logged.

  4. 4 Days 22 to 30

    First pages live, first report

The first money pages rewritten or published, internal links built, and the first monthly report with the founder, opening with enquiries.

After day 30. Months two and three build the pages that earn, earn the first links and work the landing pages. Day 90 is when the guarantee is measured against the baseline from week one.

Who works on your account

  • A dedicated account manager, your one named contact week to week.
  • Specialists per channel, from a team of 30 across search, paid ads and email.
  • The founder on every monthly review, reading the report with you.
  • Certified on the platforms the work runs on, shown on every page of this site.

Is SEO the right service for you?

It is, if these three are true.

  • Your customers already search for what you sell, and you are not on page one for it
  • You can give access and approve changes within a week, so the work is not waiting on you
  • You can hold a quarter before judging it, because search cannot be judged fairly in less

Not sure? The free review says so plainly, and points at the service that fits instead.

The other option

Doing it in-house, against having it done here.

Every row is a difference in how the two are set up, not a claim about results. Some businesses are right to hire. This is how to tell.

Factor In-house Mavix
Team One or two hires covering everything A dedicated account manager, specialists per channel, the founder on every monthly review
Expertise Depends on who you can hire and keep Search, paid ads and email run as one team, on accounts across many industries
Cost structure Salary, benefits and tools, whether or not results arrive A monthly fee against a written target, or per qualified lead on paid ads
Hiring Weeks to months to recruit, plus the risk of a wrong hire None. The free review comes first, and work starts once access is granted
Training Yours to fund and keep current as the platforms change Included. Certified on the platforms the work runs on
Tools Licences bought and learned by you The research, tracking and reporting tools are part of the engagement
Strategy Set by whoever is available Written into a scope after the review, with a target attached
Execution Limited by one person's hours Changes logged weekly, implemented directly where you give access
Reporting Whatever the platform exports A monthly report that opens with enquiries, not impressions
Account management You manage the person One named contact, and the founder in the monthly review
Scaling up or down Another hire, or a redundancy A scope change between sizes, month to month with thirty days notice
Ownership Yours Yours. Every account, page and file, including the day you leave

Reviews

What clients say, in their own words.

4.9 out of 5 from 22 published reviews

Arjun Malhotra Director, Malhotra Packaging

I have been in business long enough to know that every agency has a presentation about why they are different. That part doesn't interest me. What mattered to us was whether they understood our market and whether they would actually do the work after the meeting was over. So far, they've been practical, responsive and consistent. We discuss priorities, the team works on them, and we review what was done. I prefer that kind of relationship.

Trustpilot review
Camila Torres Founder, Casa Bonita Events

I am probably not the easiest person to build a landing page for because I change my mind constantly. First I wanted it minimal. Then more colour. Then less colour. Then I hated the headline. Then I wanted the old headline back. 😂 What I liked was that the team didn't get irritated or disappear every time I asked for another round of changes. We kept working through it until it finally felt like us.

My son said we needed SEO. I said fine, but I didn't want to hear about it every week. Mavix sorted the important stuff and kept it simple.

Before you decide

Questions people ask before paying for SEO.

01 Is the price on the card what I will pay?

It is where that size starts. A single-location business with a healthy site pays the starting price or close to it. More locations, more competitive searches or more content move it up, and the four things that move it are listed above. Your price comes after the free review, in writing, attached to a scope you can read. There is no setup fee.

02 Which plan applies the guarantee?

Growth and Scale. A 50% increase in organic traffic, keyword rankings or direct enquiries within 90 days of the engagement starting. Miss it and you get a full refund of every retainer fee you have paid, plus $1,000 out of our own pocket. Foundation is groundwork on a single market and is not big enough to carry that promise honestly.

03 How long before search produces enquiries?

Technical fixes on an established site can show inside weeks. Competitive commercial rankings take a quarter or more. Day ninety is when the guarantee is measured, and the timeline above says what will have happened by when.

04 Is there a minimum term?

Month to month, with thirty days notice. Search gets three months before it is judged, because it cannot be judged fairly in less, and that is advice rather than a clause.

05 Can I start on Foundation and move up?

Yes, and it is a sensible route for a single-location business. Prove the groundwork works, then widen. Moving between plans is a scope change, not a new contract.

06 Do you buy links?

No. Google names bought links and private blog networks in its spam policies and the penalty lands on your domain. Links here are earned from real sites, and the monthly report shows where each one came from.

07 Is there a setup fee?

The first month usually carries more work than the months after it, because that is when the audit, tracking and foundation work happen. Whether that appears as a higher first month or a separate setup line depends on the scope, and it is stated plainly in the proposal either way. Nothing appears after you have signed.

08 Do you work on commission or a share of revenue?

No revenue share, and no percentage of anything. Search is a monthly fee against a written target, and the target sits in the contract with the guarantee behind it.

09 Who actually does the work on my account?

A dedicated account manager runs the account week to week, specialists do the technical, content and link work, and the founder sits in every monthly review. You have one named contact throughout.

10 How do we move from our current agency or in-house team?

The review comes first, so nothing is switched off before the new baseline is recorded. Access is transferred, the starting numbers are written down in your own Search Console and GA4, and the work starts from there. Nothing is deleted or redirected before it has been measured.

11 What do I get each month, and how do we talk?

A monthly report that opens with enquiries, a log of every change made that month, and a review with the founder. In between, your account manager is the person you email or call.

12 Can I cancel, pause or change the size?

Month to month, with thirty days notice, and you own every account, page and file on the way out. Moving between Foundation, Growth and Scale is a scope change, not a new contract.
